Terms of Service

These are the terms between you and Pixel Engine, an independent developer, for using Pixel Engine at pixelengine.ai and through its API and connected agents. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are meant to be short and readable; if something is unclear, ask us at hello@pixelengine.ai.

The service

Pixel Engine generates pixel art and animations from prompts and images using machine-learning models. Results vary from run to run and are not guaranteed to match a request; retrying with a changed prompt is a normal part of using it. We may change, add, or retire models and features over time.

Accounts

You need an account to generate. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 13 to use Pixel Engine. You are responsible for what is done with your account, including by API keys and connected agents you have authorized.

Credits and payment

Generation costs credits. Subscriptions grant monthly credits that reset each billing period and do not roll over; purchased credits do not expire while your account exists. Each tool and endpoint states its cost before you run it. A job that fails through no fault of yours is not charged; a job that completes is charged whether or not you like the result. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. Credits have no cash value and are not refundable except where the law requires it. If you enable auto-refill, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method when your balance falls below the threshold you set, until you turn it off.

Your content and what you make

You keep ownership of what you upload and the rights you have in it. You give us permission to store and process it as needed to run the service. Subject to these terms and any rights of third parties in your inputs, you may use what Pixel Engine generates for you for any purpose, including in commercial games. We do not use your prompts, uploads or generations to train models.

Do not upload or generate content that infringes someone else's rights, that is sexual content involving minors, that is designed to harass or deceive, or that is otherwise illegal. We may remove content and close accounts that break these rules.

The API and connected agents

API keys and agent connections act on your account and spend your credits. API job outputs are deleted 24 hours after the job; download what you want to keep. Do not share keys, use the service to build a competing generation service by wholesale reselling of its output, or exceed the rate and usage limits we publish. Partner and volume pricing is by agreement.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Pixel Engine running, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Settings, which also cancels any subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents it.
